All About Me PTU Tutorial

This tutorial was written by me on April 6th, 2012 and is my own creation.

Any resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional.

PSP Version used: PSP9, but should work in other versions.

This tutorial assumes you have a good working knowledge of PSP.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I am using the amazing work of Tony Tzanoukakis, a PTU artist. You must purchase his work and use the appropriate licensing if using his work. You can find his work in his new store here

PTU Kick Ass collab kit by Inzpired Creationz and Bibi's Collection. You can purchase it here

Mask is gemsmask 143 by Gems Taggin' Scraps. You can find it here

Filters:

PhotoEffex Scanlines
Filters Unlimited 2.0

Ok let's get started.

Open a blank canvas 600 x 430.

Open your mask and minimize. Open Paper 3. Copy and paste as a new layer.  Apply mask and merge group.

Open Frame 3. Resize by 70%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Using a light color and dark color, set your foreground to a linear gradient, angle 45, repeats 1.

With your magic wand tool, click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 10.

Add a new raster layer and floodfill with your gradient. Deselect and move this layer below your frame layer.

PhotoEffex Scanlines. Change the spacing to 3 and hit ok.

Open your tube or a close-up tube. Copy and paste as a new layer and move the face into the frame. Place to your liking.

On the gradient layer, select all, float, defloat. On the close-up tube layer, selections, invert and press delete on your keyboard.

Deselect. Set the blend mode to Luminance (L) and the opacity of the tube to 50.

Open Ribbon 3. Resize by 70%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place toward the bottom of your frame. Move this layer above the frame layer.

Open your tube. Resize if necessary. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place so she's sitting on the ribbon, with a little bit of the ribbon peeking out below her. See my tag for reference.

Duplicate your tube. Adjust, blur, gaussian blur, 3.00. Set the blend mode to overlay.

On the original tube layer, select the Filters Unlimited 2.0 filter and under the Sandflower Specials, select the Pool Shadow Framed setting. On the second Diagonal setting, move the slider up to 63.

Open the charm element. Resize by 25%. Copy and paste above your tube layers. Move to the upper left corner of the frame.

Open Bow 1. Resize by 25%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place over your charm. See my tag for reference.

Open Heart 3. Resize by 45%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place in the bottom left corner of the frame.

Open Cupcake 1. Resize by 25%. Copy and paste as a new layer.

Place to the right of the heart. See my tag for reference.
